walking around, feeling sudoriferous

well, i have much to blog about - like meeting these really cool former french-colonial subjects (namely, haitians and guadeloupeans) who visited the metropole and became artists and intellectuals and whatnot, and being hit upon (i like "hit upon" better than "hit on" - sounds classier, which is ironic considering the signified) by one of the curators of this exhibit at the sort of finale soiree, at which he appeared, stinking of liquor, at roughly noon. but sadly, nonexistent blogreading public, i don't have time to report any of this, for i am in the thick of the thicket of the lair of the wolf, you know - in the vampire's cave, writing things that were due last week. (speaking of vampires, yesterday i was struck with a stroke of logorrheic genius while eating this strange concoction called "greek pizza," and in reference to something that had recently got me excited - i think an archive - i said something to the effect of, "I was like a vampire, and it was like blood." a weird phrase there! i give you leave to repeat it at your leisure.) anyhow, so for lack of time and energy, i'm just going to give you a phenomenological reading of my status at the moment and say that i can feel the sweat leaching from my pores, i am sitting in my own stew like some kind of boeuf au jus, and i feel like not a day goes by that i don't wake up and immediately smell like a ham sandwich. it's unbelievable what the body sheds when it's hot and sticky - like this sort of blackish goo that collects in crevices and probably consists of some sort of epithelium. anyhow, rolling little balls of black skin-goo is sort of fun. but i'm a little tired of constantly smelling like a ham sandwich.
okay, more soon!
